Hi ladies, just finished the washing, now to tacke the ironing.
Joanne, how are you, havent heard from you in ages, Phils scan is 28 Sept, I am trying not to think about it too much as I know I will get myself into a state about it, Isaac is back at the paediatricain this week for more tests to try to find out what is wrong with him, in a was I am hoping for some answers but in another way I am hoping the tests show nothing, not sure if that sounds right but I'm sure you know what I mean. How are you and your family doing, how is Alex, I think last I heard was that he had just been diagnosed with cp, how is he getting on, and how are your gorgeous girls? xx

((())) I completly undertsand about you not wanting to think of Phil's appointment hun and I understand about Isaac you want it to be nothing and yet we want answers aswell!
Oh Alex has been intresting to say the least lol, it went from CP to MD, he's still not walking (20mths old next month) but he tries which is intresting and funny aswell image and he's full of confidence especially whem it comes to climbing at the moment

Joanne, has he had MD confirmed? The paed tested Isaac for that in June becuase he was and still is showing signs of muscle weakness, thankfully it was negative although he did say that it was the DMD he had tested for and there were other types, although it would be unusual for him to be showing symptoms of those yet as they are generally later in onset, he is going back Thursday to have tests for some acid in his blood (I think it was maltase but cant remember and dont want to look it up) and also do urine tests, to be honest he doesnt really struggle so mush with getting up but the dr did say that was because he had adapted to his way of doing it (he odes something called a gowers sign), he also has problems with sitting himself down and climbing, jumping etc, basically it is gross motor skills he struggles with, most of his fine motor skills are good. He also has a squint which they are patching at the moment and he goes back in another few months to see how that is going. I did joke that I would stop paying my mortgage and move into the hospital because between him and Phil I seem to spend a large portion of my life there  lmao!

Hope you managed to clean the paint up, don't you just love kids xxx

How is your mil, mine is still the bag from hell, although I dont see her often now, she didnt bother coming on Isaac s birthday in April or Jakes in June or Phils in August, most of the time if she phones she proceeds to tell me that quite obviously Isaacs problems are down to the fact that he is fat (which he's not!) although when she popped round before our holiday she managed not to mention his weight but came out with the classic of " shame about his legs becuase he looks so normal" WTF is that about, silly old bag, and she had a little dig about his hair which admittingly is a bit long but I just can't bear to cut off his blonde curls, she tld me that Phils sister had her little boys hair cut and he looked like a proper boy. Oh I so love her

Alex is having the same tests as Isaac in Oct have they mentioned testing his liver and kidneys by any chance with the tests they are doing? It's like a full MOT isn't it?

No they are testing for MD as they now belive he has MD instead of CP (we got the all clear from that) so I'm just going with the flow right now and doing the 'motions' of it all, what else can we do eh?!
LOL @ moving to the hospital, it would be soo much easier wouldn't it?

Well the back bedroom carpet is ruined and they have re-painted the yellow wall a dusted dimond colour (like a lilac) and then they decided to paint each other and roll around on the wooden floor because it felt good! If only they could see the mess they made (I am actually laughing and I shouldn't)
Jessica and Katie the pair of them at the moment are constantly getting into trouble for being naughty it wasn't that long ago they were in trouble for taking one of the dinning chairs outside to climb over the fence to go onto next doors trampoline (they have there own 10ft one) apparently ours isn't good enough  I do wonder what I did wrong in my past life sometimes lol.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one Alex has long-ish hair and a few curls and I can not bring myself for him to have a hair cut at all, I took him at the bigining of the summer (what summer eh?!) and was going to get it cut but I couldn't so he had his fringe cut-for a ??1

 @ mil, yours sounds as nice as mine hehe.
No but seriously and suprisingly (sp?) we are getting on alot better than we once did, alot has happened over this summer and she has been fantastic, never thought I'd write that! I kind of glad in a way it's made everything easier for everyone and all the family inc mine!

How are the rest of your children? Have they had a good summer?
    xx

Oh no, what little monkeys, I always know when mine are causing trouble as it goes quiet, Alice peeled all the stickarounds off her bedroom wall the other day and stuck them on paper to make a picture, she is such a monkey, I met my match when she was born, she starts big school in a few weeks, she cant wait but I do feel a little sad that she is growing up.
Megan is coming up 10 and boy are those hormones starting to kick in all you have to do is smile at her and she bursts into tears  oh joy, Jacob tends to stay our of everyones way as much as he can becuase apparantly it's not cool to socialise with your parents when you're 13!! He is still ovely tho and always gives me a kiss and a hug in the morning and bed time (and when he's after something  )

They havent mentioned testing Isaacs kidneys or liver but he did mention that he wanted to esxhaust just about every test possible before he goes for the muscle biopsy. Luckily the paed that we see is fantastic, he is so in touch with the real world and as he has 3 children of his own completely understands the worry and stress that parents go thorough, when he did Isaacs blood test for the MD he took the bloods to the path lab himself and waited whilst they did them there and then so I wouldnt have a night of worry waiting for them.

Hope Alex's tests go ok, you are right it is like a full mot, I think we know more about what isnt wrong with them that what is

I paid ??1 to get Isaacs fringe cut too as it was right in his eyes and he couldnt see where he was going, I was going to do it myself but I am still scarred for life after my mum cutting my hair when I was young
