when is it advised and what type ? had my 6 week check today and he didn't mention it and i forgot to ask.

6 weeks i startin walking properly (hour a day out wit my dog)
be really careful doin any sort of abdominal exercises as ur muscles have been cut in half.
i would suggest not doing them til 10 weeks ...
and running i would say 20 weeks ...im a personal trainer but not sure about c sections ... this is wot ive done after my section ... ur best thing would to do some light weights before doing cardio... hope this helpss
i was given a booklet by the physio after my emergency section last week with some mild exercises and advised not to do anything other than them and short walks until my 6 week check then to slowly build up exercise x
