Aching in upper thighs @37 weeks.
Does anyone have any experience of this? I suffer with SPD, but this is a different pain. It's muscular, and feels as if I've been doing squats, or cycling a lot. It's right at the top, front of my thighs & has now started in my buttocks...uncomfortable, but annoying more than anything. Any ideas/suggestions/experiences to share please?xx

This is how my labour started with E!! I felt really achey in the top of my thighs and was fidgety and just couldn't keep still. Maybe try a nice soak in the bath?
Am so excited for you!!
Good luck
Jojo, I was thinking maybe that, but not so sure...My last labour was back-to-back, so completely different. No other real symptoms either  I would try a soak in the bath, but can't bear them, and would probably need to call the fire-brigade to get me out again Getting out of bed is bad enough now...1, 2, 3... xx
amongst everything else making me feel crap in my pregnancy i had this aswell. it developed into such a bad ache i'd be crying with pain at times. when i moved and got a nice (and helpful!) new midwife i asked her about it and she referred me to a back specialist. i only saw them once because of how far along i was (36/37 weeks) but i had pressure on my spine and had twisted it by trying to compensate for the pressure. they said normally they would've gave me a back support and physio to help but because it was so late there was no point
the thing i found relieved it the most was lying as straight as i could and then bending my legs up as much as i could a few times. i know i was shown a few things to do to try and help it but this is the only one i remember helping at all
hope we're seeing a birth story and piccy of new bump soon!
