I'm 39+1 and my Midwife has said that my hind waters have probably broken so I was just wondering if anyone knew or had any experience of when labour might start?
I'm only on my first baby & far from the labour end so no expert, but my sister in law lost her hind waters about a week before her 2nd baby actually came if memory serves me right. Not sure if there is a direct link between the two happening though?
Did they give you a sweep? My waters went completely at 37+5 comtractions started 37+6 and she arrive 4am at 38 weeks. They would not have let me go more than 24 hours before labour starting anyway because of risk of infection but mine went totally xx good luck
Mine went and so they induced me, it was 87.5 hours from the time my hind waters went. Would've helped if the mw had known what she was doing, and could recognise hind from fore, so it's good to know yours does! I had no idea about hind and fore until the mw who attended my birth said my waters hadn't gone, and after ds was safely here she explained. I hope it's not too long for you x
my first pregnancy my hind waters went and when i went to the hospital to get checked out i was already 3-4cm dialated,so they said,if my waters hadnt gone by 8.30pm that night, they would pop them for me,so at 8.30 they came ad popped my waters and i had DS1 4 1/2 hours later
