worried mom

Hi everyone, I need some help. My daughter had sex during ovulation and her period is due on the 19th of March,  however she started having some brownish red tinged period.  Well it lasted 5 days and was hit and miss. Not a normal 7 day red heavy period for her. She took a test this morning and it was negative.  Please help we are so confused.
