*** Tuesday 3rd tri ****

Morning!

where are all the 3rd tri ladies? It's so quiet at the moment.

I'm at the consultant this morning. I'm hoping she will discharge me from her care back to the midwives, but we'll see. Happy feet is a cucumber today and should weigh approx 3lb!

Morning Imp. Hope the consultant goes well and you do get discharged back to the midwife. 3lb, happy feet is chunking up nicely! (And doesn't it just feel like it sometimes, like when they sit on your bladder...)

I have a dentist appt this morning, with J too- I can see it going really badly, especially as I can't really use my normal means of bribery (chocolate buttons) in front of him! Then if we've time toddler group later this morning.

    Hi to those who follow.

SG good luck with the dentist! That doesn't sound like much fun, I hope J behaves!

It certainly does feel like they weight that much sometimes, in fact maybe double that! I must have gone to the loo a million times yesterday!

    Morning!

Imp - hope the appointment with the consultant goes well.

SG - good luck at the dentist!

AFM - two days off with no plans as such. Just need to do the food shop, have a tidy up and go to Dunelm Mill and Matalan. I'm a bit achey today and was wide awake at 5.30 but not feeling too bad.

    Morning all.

Have been busy and absent for a few days, hope everyone is doing ok!

Imp - Hope you get discharged from the consultant.

SG - Hope the dentist goes well :)

AFM - not a lot to report, starting to feel pretty pregnant now! We have our first antenatal class this evening which I am looking forward too, hope there are some other couples similar to us there!

Ixia enjoy your days off, by the sounds of it the rest will do you good.

Vix enjoy your antenatal class, I hope there are some lovely people there. Are they nhs ones or nct?

  • Options

Imp - we have gone for the NCT ones, luckily there is a course 5 mins away from where we live :)

Ah, that's handy.  We're doing the nct ones too, a lot of our friends did them and said that they met some lovely people on theirs.

I hope you get on well with your group!

Hi everyone, sorry I've been AWOL the last few days!

Imp, how did it go with the consultant?

SG, how was the dentist? Hopefully not as bad as expected!

Ixia, it's amazing how 'a bit achey and awake since 5am' can mean things aren't too bad, eh?  Enjoy your days off!

Vix, enjoy NCT!  We have our last class tomorrow, and it's been good.  I'm not sure if I've made lasting friends in it or not, but some nice people.  It was really awkward that first night, though, like forced socialisation.  Hopefully there are some lovely moms to be who live near you.

AFM, I'm afraid I've fallen prey to SPD.  If it's not that then I have no idea what it is.  The past week I've had a series of agonising nights, where every movement is painful, then getting up off the bed is a nightmare.  During the day it's not so bad, but difficult to stand up from sitting.  So, I caved and bought a proper maternity pillow yesterday (the pillow I have been trying to wedge between my legs always gets lost in the night), and I think last night was a bit better!  Hurrah!  In fun news, I went to bluewater for the baby show on Sunday with a couple MDers and a non-MDer who is due 2 days before me.  Picked up a couple little things, nothing big, and had a great day in all.  Oh and the ECG yesterday was fine, which it was always going to be, and the palpitations have eased, so I can't help but wonder if it was linked to my low iron?  Will ask midwife when I see her Friday.

Anyways, phew, I'll try not to leave it so long without coming on, I like to see how everyone is doing!

Speaking of, I've my fingers and toes all crossed for Monnie!

Afternoon all, just popping in quickly to say hello! Since I have been on maternity iv not had much chance to come on and say hi!,

Hope everyone is well. I will try and set some time aside tomorrow to come and chat properly to you all!

Afm I have my date and I'm booked in, I know it could be a long process so we arnt telling people the date! But I a sure you it's not long lol, mainly because my kidneys are packing up from the pre eclampsia. So this week iv been sorting the house from the baby shower as I have had a mothercare explosion in my lounge haha! When I pop back tomorrow I'll give a flash and a small report from my shower :-) xxxx

Wispa - hope the SPD isn't too bad and the pillow helps!

Monnie - Good to hear you are doing ok, we will have to place our bets on when baby is going to arrive!

Imp - Hope you got discharged!

Spikey - How was the dentist minus usual bribery?!

Ixia - Glad you are feeling ok! Happy shopping!

Vix - Hope your class goes well, that reminds me I need to speak to my MW about our parent craft classes, not heard anything yet and I'm hoping for more than a few days notice!

Wispa - I had a few days of PGP, which whilst extremely painful, not as bad as SPD...could be that? Lots of making sure my knees were together when getting up or out of the car and resting properly with support (pillow) helped loads.

Monnie - Glad you are doing ok, can't wait for the report of your baby shower and hope all plans come together - exciting!

AFM - the thrush has gone, the hemorrhoids are finally on their way out, I think, which is all good. Feeling very full today, like baby is starfishing in there!! Hopefully booking flights to go and see my dad in Spain for a few days now I have the all clear from the MW! I will be flying on my own which a bit daunting but I'm sure I'll be fine!

    Good to see you, Monnie!

Kapowski, I checked with dr google to find the difference, and it seems pgp is associated with pain in the back and rear of pelvis, while spd is more related to the front and radiating down e thighs, which seems more what I'm getting.. But then a lot of places seem to use the terms interchangeably, so all I really know is I've got some pain, and I'm following all the advice I can find to limit it, which seems to be quite similar for both spd and pgp.  Will definitely gets midwives opinion on Friday, though!
