Is it likely I'm pregnant?

Hi guys, I took an early detective pregnancy test 7 days prior to my missed period (you're meant to take them 6 days before but I got impatient) I only had two of these tests, the second was negative, but this was the first one... I've read online it can't be an evaporation like because they're not likely to be blue/pink, and that if any colour shows no matter how small or faint it's because the pregnancy hormone has been detected, but I don't want to get my hopes up. I have to wait 5 days til my period is due to take a regular test now.. I suppose I just want some opinions and some best wishes. I can't help but feel some false hope now and will be so devastated if I get my period!
