Low potassium

has anyone else been told they have low potassium since finding out they were pregnant? I’ve just had phone call to say potassium low and to eat more bananas and get my bloods done again next week. But I’m now a nervous wreck and first appointment I can get is Thursday x

I haven't. But what prenatal vitamins are you taking?

I take Pregnacare original, I've just checked and it doesn't contain potassium but does contain magnesium which is meant to help maintain a good potassium level. If you're not already taking something then it's definitely worth considering.

In the meantime high potassium foods make sense ☺️

And try not to worry, these things often get picked up way before they're actually a problem. That's why we have so many check ups when we're pregnant.
