Old wives tales about gender associated with baby heart rate

Had my first midwife appointment today I’m 17+6 heard a few old wives tales about the heart rate. I know it’s probably all nonsense but be interested to see if any mums had the gender associated with the bpm

Apparently If it's over 140 bpm, you're having a baby girl. Below 140 bpm, you're carrying a boy

I have a son already and can’t remember if they ever told me the bpm with him. But today my baby’s was 153bmp. I’m so convinced boy so not trusting it’s a girl lol I know it’s all just a bit of fun and in no way can determine gender.  I find out on Saturday anyway but yeah. Kinda just posting to see if it’s been true for any mums. Or false ??😊

Nub theory ,baking soda test have all pointed to boy. My gut feeling is a boy. As I said. I know it’s not accurate. Only the scan will tell me. 😊 I’m not fussed either way boy or girl long as baby is healthy and arrives safely full term that’s all that matters to me. I’m just so interested in these said wife’s tales lol.

My son’s bpm was always around 160, so not true for me

I’m convinced mine is a boy too lol but only because I want a girl. I don’t have my first scan until October 3rd
