Hyperemesis iv fluids

Hi I was just wondering if anyone who has had previous admissions for iv fluids for pregnancy sickness could share their experiences. I'm on anti sickness tablets which arent working and doctor has asked me to drop a urine sample off later today to see if I need iv fluids at hospital. Im a bit worried though as I have no childcare other than my childminder from 8 til 4 tomorrow and friday so I was wondering if it's the sort of thing you get admitted for and have to stay in or if it's just a case of they tell you to go, give you a bag of fluids for a few hours then send you home? I dont feel bad enough that I need to stay in but I probably will show up as being dehydrated on my urine sample.
