my daughter doesnt want to sleepp

My daughter doesnt want to sleep!im a young mom and at first after brushing her teeth and all.I put caillou on the tv and told her after the episode she would go to bed, but after a while she started crying at the end.. and you know want it more and more of the tv and It got later and later like 10-11 o clock to her to sleep and she wakes up at 6 in the morning and i always fight with her for the nap. What should i do for the sleeping time to be better?
