Does this sound like sleep walking?

In a nutshell:

DS is 17 months old and for the past couple of months has been quietly getting out bed and coming into our room. We take him back to bed without talking etc. and within a minute (or less) he is straight back to sleep as though nothing has happened.

He does this at least once a night, sometimes more, and hubby and I don't know what to do because we are shattered having to keep getting up. I know that if we close his bedroom door or put a gate on it he will wake up, get very upset and then it will take a lot longer to get him back to sleep.

He goes to sleep anytime between 6.30pm and 7pm and apart from the getting up, will sleep until 5-5.30am. His bedtime routine is exactly the same every night. He only has one or two 30 min naps during the day which is totally normal for him as he has always been a dreadful napper.

Not sure what to do or how long this will last. :?

Any suggestions gratefully received.
