Car seat help needed!

I have a nearly 3 year old (3 in April) who is 18kg, he is looking way too big in his maxi-cosi Pearl now. I really wanted to move him to a Britax KIDFIX II XP SICT as my older son has one and I like how it’s not too deep. However this seat says it’s from 4 years along with all group 2 seats. What seat should I go to next? And which group should I be looking at?

Katie I have always used height and weight rather than age looking for car seats as that's the data used during design and construction. I have the graco milestone and have been using it since my lo turned 7months and would highly recommend it as it's designed from birth to 12yrs so it's got plenty of room for the bigger toddler stage and wont need replacing.
