Been painting!

As Spence has possibly the mildest dose of Scarlet Fever ever we've been struggling to find things to do that keep him occupied but completely out of contact with non-sick people!
As the weather is still so good we've been painting in the back garden this morning. He had so much fun and even put his hands in the paint (he doesn't like getting sticky hands) and made some prints.
The paintings are outside drying at the moment but will be hung in my very dull kitchen to brighten it up.

Also, Scarlet Fever is doing the rounds at the moment so please check out the below link and be vigilant

Sounds like you've had a fun morning, not braved the paints yet been waiting for rhys to start standing on his own properly so we can get him a little easle to paint on, but only just decided to start doing it and still a little wobbly. It's so nice to be able to do things outside with them though isn't it instead of having to find indoor activities all the time

We do painting first thing in the morning if we're doing it. Leave him in his PJs, and cover the dining table in paper after we've had breakfast. He stays in his high chair and so long as the paper is held down with little pieces of masking tape he'll happily instruct which colour he wants next until his masterpiece is complete. He too doesn't like getting his hands mucky (mummy... wipe!) but the chunky brushes from early learning keep him happy.

Hope scarlet fever is gone and you've been enjoying some sunshine. We've uncovered the sandpit after the winter..."Mummy DIG DIG DIG!"
