Fussy with finger food.

I find that if Annabel is really hungry, or really tired she gets frustrated with finger foods. She loves playing with food and is able to put it her mouth (with virtually all of her fingers) when feeding herself. However, when she is really tired or really hungry she drops the food, or throws in on the floor but gets upset and still wants to eat. I then take to spoon feeding her, or breaking up the finger food and giving it to her.

Have you experienced this? I'm hoping she will grow out of it and become more confident and competent with finger food.  She is only eight months old, so maybe I'm expecting too much?
