Children visiting your newborn

When S was born i organised lunch at a local child friendly pub for my mummy friends so I didn't have to have the kids in the house and I could see them all in one go. It worked well and I could arrive and leave as suited the kids. We didn't have many friends with kids when C was born, but I would offer to go to visitors in general as it meant that I didn't have to worry about the state of the house on top of looking after a new born, x

I wouldnt go and visit a newborn if my children were ill so id not worry about germs, what makes you think children will spread them? Theyre unlikely to handle baby.

id be annoyed at the wrecking though esp if you dont have children. Id lock them in one room and ask their parents to bring toys or put on cbeebies x
