@Lou_lou234 i get those symptoms when i ovulate sometines, could u be ovulating late?

I'm in the TWW as well as a lot of you...and i was thrilled to feel aching and tiredness (you guys will understand that excitement about feeling not right during the TWW!)....only to come up in a strange rash and now suspect shingles ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ will be calling the GP tomorrow for an official diagnosis, but it's making me think its very unlikely I'd conceive this cycle, surely my body will just reject any potential pregnancy whilst it fights the shingles!?ย
    Any experience of shingles?

Ovulation test related....so in my clear blue I got for the second day a flashing smile that means high but in normal opk I just got a negative. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ Iโ€™m a bit confused....anyone has used these before?ย

I'm not sure if it's the same as with the CB fertility monitor as this is what I'm using. So the first day is supposed to be the day prior to ovulation, and the day after that is when ovulation takes place. But it won't measure anything for the second day. It's just predicted as far as I understand it. I think that's why you will get different results with the opk. Doesn't mean it's wrong though.ย
A LH level surge occurs around 12-36 hours prior to ovulation, so it's possible that if you have a short period, closer to 12h, the opk will show a negative on the second day if that makes sense.ย

I had exactly the same thing yesterday at 4DPO but it is so unlikely if not impossible to implantation so I put it down to usual post OV hormonal changes. Plus I am very confident in my OV day this month so again not likely to have implanted this soon..

Looking back over previous months I had similar cramps and cm a few days after ov and obviously didn't end up conceiving so I think its fairly common.

With that being said fingers crossed its a sign of implantation.. perhaps you OV'd sooner than you realised.

I'm only on cycle 4 ttc so not far ahead and still so new to everything. Each month I promise I won't obsess lol tbf making notes of symptons these past few months have helped me understand what to expect. For example I have experienced twinges/ mild cramps after ovulation nearly every month, although that doesn't stop me getting my hopes up.

I spent this morning reading a university study on the stages of implantation fml :unamused: This was after swearing to stay away from google...

Jumping over from the April thread. Lovely to see some BFP!!! Xx Does anyone know if you can get a positive opk right before your AF is due? AF supposed to come a week ago but nothing (still BF and that was my first period so no idea what's going on with my body really). Took 3 tests so I'm not pregnant. Used an opk for the hell of it yesterday and it was positive, it's not today. Now I have brown discharge just like when I came on last month. So can you get a surge just before AF? Xx

I've heard that before, some women experience a short surge in lh right before the period starts. But it could also be that you ovulate really late?

@Bundaberg thanks. It doesn't help that I don't know my cycle length at all. I only had one period before I got pregnant last time when I came off the pill. We'll see what happens! Doesn't feel like I'm about to come on though, but the brownish discharge says different....God knows ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

@NorthernGirl I can relate! No idea what my cycle is either as with my 1st pregnancy I came off pill and never got a period at all - 2 months later I had a positive test! ย Now Iโ€™ve recently come off mini pill so the fun starts again ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Having an irregular cycle is annoying, I know! I hope you both will have a regular cycle again, soon! It's not just annoying when TTC. When I came off the pill years ago I wasn't TTC, just wanted to somewhat gain back control over my body. Not knowing when your period starts is not cool. And it will always appear when you're wearing something white, because of course it does.

@Sunshine8888 oh pretty much the same as me then!ย

@Bundaberg irregular is v annoying...hoping it will go to whatever my norm was (I think I was regular but didn't track etc back in the day!)

Well my AF showed which is good as I knew I wasn't preg..now it's can do one and I can crack on again! I'm going to try temping..and opks regularly, when is the best time to start all that!? I have two apps and they suggest ovulation at different dates. I have cheapie sticks and clear blue so not sure when to use what!!

I started OPK this cycle and literally started testing a day or two offer my period started so I could watch the trend to see if I was a steady or quick rise. Im
gonna do it that way for a few cycles to get my pattern then start testing later when I expect to start seeing the rise ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
12dpo today - no major symptoms that I can be certain of not totally imagining but I seem to have a serious amount of CM - waaay more than normal at this point ๐Ÿค” and itโ€™s quite wet - sorry, tmi ๐Ÿ™ˆ, but I usually find if I have any right now it goes quite dry.ย
Could that mean anything?? I started taking evening primrose to help with CM - I guess it could be that?? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

@NorthernGirl with the fertility monitor I have to test starting day 4 after period started, up to the first peak day. I'd suggest doing the same, at least for the first cycles until you can +/- determine your ovulation date and from then on I would probably start testing a week prior to that date so you make sure you'd catch an irreglar early ovulation.ย

Solid smile this morning in the clear blue! For how many hours do you think you can still get pregnant???ย

Correct me if I'm wrong please but from what I've read, after a positive ovulation test, the actual ovulation will happen in 12-36h, and from there on the egg will be released and lives for 12-24h in which time it must be fertilised. So, you have at least a window of 24h.ย

    Hi all,

Pretty deflated today, NHS fertility team have discharged us with a diagnosis of "unexplained secondary infertility"
Not the sort of news I wanted, but appreciate that as we have a 4 yr old already we don't qualify for further NHS support.ย  Fertility team have questioned one of my fallopian tubes being blocked but another scan showed no issues, so they're not saying either way on that.
They've just said keep trying, most ppl get pregnant within 2 yrs naturally, but when your at 18months...6 months more TTC and not knowing if we'll be in the "most people" category feels a long time!

Just wanted to drop a msg in case anyone else is going through similar on their journey. Xxx

Sorry to hear you haven't been able to get a straight answer.. I'm glad to hear it isn't a definitive no. Hopefully over the next few months you get that BFP. Are there other specialists you can see?
