    Thanks ladies!

He was great again last night! Went down, awake at 7, woke at 12 then 1, but was shushed straight off. He has just woken up! Hopefully he is just getting used to his own room. Fingers crossed!

Thank you for all your help and advise! It is so reassuring knowing its not just us!

    Xxx

Lolalove, trust me - it's never just you! Glad he had a good night (as did you!) too!

While we're here, we've just started a new thread about Babymoons - do come and tell us if you've had one, or what you think of them, right over here on this new thread. Thanks!

*waves at Alba B - thank you for posting on the Babymoon thread!*

    Hello all,

I hope everyone is doing well?

So sorry to hear what happened to the house glad you all safe, how are you doing with sleep lola?

Back to work soon for me boo! It's made me realise how much I adore being a mummy! It's made us reevaluate how soon I want another. I was wondering what's everyone who has more than one child opinion of " never get two the same"? I know all mums think this but my Hugo is literally an angel he couldn't make my journey as a parent any easier if he tried but this genuinely scars me about having another one do you think it will be the opposite? I don't feel prepared I wouldn't know what to do, I don't mean it selfishly as we we would obviously cope and felt like that before Hugo but still I just wonder if everyone else's experience were really different with kiddies x

Hi Baby dreamer - we were just thinking about you and wondered how are things since the fire? We hope your family are safe and well and you have somewhere to live? Please do come and let us know, we're sure the other ladies on this thread would love to hear from you too.

Lolalove, how's the sleeping going? Have you mad any progress? We really hope so.

Hiya Alba B, great to hear from you. How's Hugo? What are you plans for Hugo when you return to work? We've just heard a lady in our October 15 Babies thread is pregnant with her second... all I can say about babies being alike is, some do say no two are ever the same, but you won't know until you try!

We also wanted to let you know about two threads we have running today.
The first is your chosen baby name - did you reveal it before you had your baby? Please do come and let us know on this new thread here.

The second thread is about Father’s Day - we’re wondering if you’ve done anything special in the past (or if this is your first Father’s Day) or if you have something lovely planned? Please do come and tell us over on this new thread here.

    Thanks everyone!

    Hello All,

Its been a little over 2 weeks since our house fire, but feels like it's been months. We're still staying in my moms dinningroom. Our insurance is suppose to be finding a place for us to rent for 6+ months. But they've been so difficult. Ever we find a place they go through a huge list of paperwork and by the time it's finished, days have passed and then it gets leased out from under us. We have a place hopefully that will work out, but our insurance is now arguing over $40 extra in rent. 🙄 All our belongings have been sent to restoration in various places across Texas. (It's crazy how they send certain items with certain companies.) which literally leaves us about 4 outfits each for the next 2-4 months. We have no idea if they'll be able to restore anything they took. Luckily a neighbor donated a bed for us and lots of toys and clothes for Lorelei. We usually cloth diaper Lorelei, but that is just too much for me right now. So, she's been in disposable... And she keeps having massive blow outs. I'm not sure if she's just having bigger poos or it's the diapers.

I know this is crazy, but I've had Lorelei in a bassinet until this week. She loved it and was a great sleeper. But shes outgrown it and I had to move her. A neighbor loaned us a pack n play and I've been having her sleep in this. Shes been awake every 2 hours since we started using the pack n play. Im wondering if it's the combination of sleeping arrangements in a different place and different bed that's causing this. We place her in sleep sacks at night and do not allow her to have blankets. So, a couple nights ago her hands were ice cubes. So I placed socks on them and it seemed to help, but then she couldn't place her pacifier in her mouth when she woke up and would cry. the sleeping has been challenging to me because we usually lay her down and she'll fall asleep on her own. But she's been really fighting sleep. I'm off work for the summer, (I'm a teacher) so I've been letting her sleep in. We usually get up at 6am and she's been sleeping until 9 or 10. She'll still wake up every 3 hours or so to nurse but fall back to sleep. And I've been letting her sleep in our bed once I'm awake around 6am. I just dont know what to do. I know consistency is the best, but I want her to have what she needs too.

Oh man. Father's Day is this weekend. I have no idea what I'm doing. I had a shirt and some items picked out for dad, but that all burned in the fire. 😪 I'll be interested to see in what y'all post.

Hey everyone! Well I'm week 10 back to work and I'm settled in, it's hard working on a diffrent ward every day but getting to know all the diffrent nurses and consultants now so don't feel so lost! I'm thinking about specialising in end of life care, I've found there's a real scense of feeling good knowing youve made someone's last days/hours of there life feel safe and well looked after and pain free. But I've yet to make up my mind lol

eliott is down to 1 bottle a night around 2am but still stirs/crys I between bug making progress! He seems to be making a habit of waking up for play time at 4am little monkey!

Oh he's sitting up now and can support himself standing for a bit then his legs give out, growing so fast! He's still so tiny tho, looks like a 5-6 month old rather than 8 months!

Sounds like you are in limbo a bit baby dreamer I hope it all works out for you seems like your clearly just doing what's best for your family! Great news about work super squish what an amazing job you do anyway.

Your defiantly right elliot does look young! What size clothes is he in? None the less gswjus and looking very happy, my Hugo looks like a massive buddah compared lol people never ever believe me he was premium and how small and poorly he was.

We've got a history of no crawling just up and walking and I think that's what's going to happen with Hugo he sits and stands unaided and walks on his walker but does nothing on his front at all. I'm not going to talk about sleep because I'm one of the lucky ones but I know for sure it will hapimageimageimageimagepen for you all!. Take care everyone x

You have so much change and stuff going on baby dreamer, it would surprising if Lorelei didn't react. Hopefull when things calm down and you're able to get back to some kind of normality, Lorelei will revert back.

So good to see your name pop up supersquish - we've missed you! Your boys are so alike - what a lovely pic. Without sounding all gushy, that's an incredibly admiral job to take on supersquish - not many peeps could take on something like that, and we think you're a wonderful person for doing so. So glad there are people like you in this World!

Alba, Hugo just looks awesome - so dare we ask, thought about number 2 yet?

I cannot wait for number 2 but as I had a section they do advise at least 2 years between and to be honest I would like to enjoy Hugo while he is an only child we have a holiday booked early next year as well, I think the second Hugo is 3 I will start trying. Me and his dad were saying even though the early days are hard it's such a short amount of time in the grand scheme of things x

Eliott has just gone into 6-9 clothes a few week ago, he still feels like a baby to me.

my biggest issue career wise is the kids, my first choice is to be a paramedic but there's no room for uni atm so I could go into emergency health care which is just as good but less responsibility and less pay... Who knows will see where the wind takes me. I've worked in A&E but need to be a fully qualified nurse to do the medical side....either way with the boys in limited atm

Isaac has just started to sit unaided, it's so so cute, he has such a cheeky grin when he doesn't he makes my heart melt. We also have a tiny showing of a bottom tooth too 😁

So cute neve I found once one was through there is no stopping those teeth Hugo went from 1 tooth to 4 in the space of 3 weeks fully through so best get them out the way! I found amber wood brilliant x

Nevesmummy Isaac is absolutely gorgeous!! Tallulah also has her bottom teeth showing - poor little one is really suffering with them :( she has raw Amber anklets on each ankle haha!!

Supersquish - Tallulah has just started to go into 6-9 months clothes too (She's 7 months 1 week) and I just like to think it means things will fit for longer :) no rush for them to grow up after all haha!! She's on the 25th line so she's a petite little girl:)

Lolalove - Tallulah was a terrible sleeper until she hit 6 months (ish) and all I can say is the whole 'it's a phase' saying is something I live by! You could have the most amazing baby that could turn into the most terrible toddler and visa versa... The biggest thing is not to compare (as hard as that is) and know that one day you WILL sleep again ;)

shes been sitting by herself since she was 4 months old and makes small attempts to crawl although she much prefers being upright!! She does however go from sitting to crawling position a lot more now, I've heard that crawling is important for their development so even though she likes being on her feet I try to encourage it when I can. I think they really are all so different and I love how they all do different things as different times, it makes them all unique... And all so incredibly perfect!!

im not going back to work (hooray!), I'm very lucky that I get to be a full time mummy... I don't take it for granted in the slightest :) however those going back to work so gain the ability to finish a hot coffee and talk about things other than all things baby related haha

in regards to having another - we've discused this and would adore another, however my pregnancy was horrific so we will have to wait and see... I personally see no rush at all, i want to enjoy Tallulah completely before I even start thinking of another baby, I don't want her to have to share the attention we lavish on her until she has to :)

im so pleased everyone is doing so well!! xx

Tuturose, your so very right, very baby is perfect in his and her own special way. Isaac has mastered shuffling backwards when he's on his tummy and can turn over and over to get to something, just need him to figure out how to get up on all 4's. He can get his bottom up or up on his arms but not at the same time lol!!

We have also discussed having another (3rd for us) and as much as I'd absolutely love another 2 really rubbish pregnancies and the fact we have a boy and girl makes me kinda not go there. Plus I don't want Isaac to have middle child syndrome lol!! My other half is the middle child and gets treated so different to his siblings, it's very upsetting and I'd hate for isaac to be a middle child.

I will be going back to work in September or maybe sooner if I find a job, as I was a temporary contractor in my last role my contract ended when I left so I'm unemployed at the moment, luckily with the agency I was with I'd been with them long enough to get Maternity pay, that runs out end of July, then I'll look for a job over summer with a view to go back once Neve is back at school in September. My old boss though is trying to get my contract re-opened so I can go back so fingers crossed there.

I love seeing how all these little ones are crowing up, Isaac will be 7months tomorrow and is just starting to go into 6-9mths too although a lot of his 3-6 still fit. I just wish he'd stop growing, it's going far too quick for my liking lol!! Xx

Hi guys, we were wondering, did you wash your babies clothes before they wore them for the first time? We're having a bit of a chat about it in the MFM office and would love to hear what you think over on this new thread!
