Hi Ladies, hope our November babies are well.

I have had an interesting past few days. Went for our 8wks health check Thursday  (a week overdue ) for me to be diagnosed with mild pneumonia on left lung. I am now on antibiotics & coughing up all the gunk 😷

Twins had their immunisations Saturday, both good as gold  (though Amelia went scarlet in the face...not happy with the nurse). Now have two very flatulent babies as the rota virus vaccine clears their systems.

Hope everyone else is fairing better. X

    Hi ladies

Hope things settle down kazzieM, Beau was meant to have his jabs last Monday but when I turned up at GP surgery with my appointment letters they hadn't been notified. They squeezed me in for Beau's 8 week check,  which he screamed through as he'd been waken up and stripped off, had to rebook jabs for this Monday,  I'm glad really as he's had a nasty snotty cold this week.

Anybody got any tips on baby acne? Beau's skin is terrible, everything I've read online advises to leave be as creams can make the condition wrose. health visitors advised me to use double base cream which hadn't helped, his skin feels like sandpaper and looks so red and sore, my others had the odd rash but nothing like this, he's had it for weeks now and just when it's starting to look better it returns 😠

Well, starting to feel a bit better now that the antibiotics are completed though still coughing up left over gunk. Matthew & Amelia have both had the sniffles. He went off food so is now 90g lighter than his sister & playing 'catch up' once again.

Rather than creams Chezabelle, have you tried using extra virgin olive oil? Helps restore the natural goodness to the skin (though not too close to eyes, much like everything else).

    Hi ladies,

    Hope you are all well.

My LO is 12 weeks on Wednesday & we are going to our first baby group. I'm a bit nervous as I don't really know what to expect & will feel kind of awkward not knowing anyone. Any tips?

Also, my little one went through a small phase a couple of weeks ago of not finishing all her bottle. I'm not sure if this was because of wind or not. Has anyone else ever experienced this & figured out what it was? I'm worried about getting her weighed now as I'm scared she's lost weight. She's fine now & she's draining 5-6oz straight off

    X

    Hi Babytree,

Not finishing a bottle could be down to many things - if recently had immunisations they may go off their food, if slightly under the weather they may go off food, if having a growth spurt they may go off food, trapped wind will give them a full tummy sensation too...

Try not to worry too much about weight. Matthew & Amelia have both had colds & Matthew went off his feeds so was 90g lighter than Amelia at last weighing (Milly Moo is a human dustbin so little chance of her turning away food) but he's now eating little & often (& driving me slightly bonkers with his 'catching up')

Am off out to twin group meet ups now & am loving socialising with other local multiples mummies. Have braved the zoo & soft play so far, this week have community centre & zoo, week after may brave swimming (note 'may' 😂), mid February we are attempting forest school type activities & have a couple of coffee mornings planned. Also organising some parents night out without the small ones in tow. Glad to have such a great group of friends who just get the highs & lows of twins.

Hope all other November mums & babies are doing well & starting to venture out more. X

KazzieM You sound soooo busy. I use to love taking my daughter to toddler groups, I need to have a look and find out which ones are still running, not sure what I'm doing with my day as I only seem to have time to blink between school runs 😂 my mother in law moved out Friday so im on mad cleaning mission and want to start painting and moving bedrooms so im sure that will keep me out of trouble for a few weeks.

Thanks for suggestions ladies over Beau's skin, I'm questioning whether it's eczema and not acne as it's also on his chest, he's got jabs Monday so will ask nurse, as eczema improves with cream/ oil but acne gets worse x

    Hi all,

    Lovely smile Sj83!!!

We're 12 weeks old today  (not yet took a photo with my milestone card).

We are officially teething and very much put off our milk due to this. We are armed with bonjela, anyone tried anything different for the pain of teething? I've had a very clingy whiny girl the past couple of days. X

Hi all hope everyone is doing well.

I'm looking for feedback I was wondering what nappies people are using.

I started off with pampers but kaden smells strong of urine a friend suggested mamia from aldi so I tried them and he's wet every day I change him every 3 hours. I tried asda little angels bt they went into crystal balls. I used pampers on my daughter and never had a problem do boys maybe wee more? Thanks ladies. Xx

I use little angels from Asda & never had a problem. I never got on with Pampers as she always felt wet. I've had people tell me good things about mamia too. Maybe try a tesco brand, u use their wipes & theure good. 'Tesco loves baby'

Unfortunately hun I can't help you anymore than that

Ive always used Tesco nappies Aldi nappies are meant to be good kane seems like his teething too but couldnt remember if his too young his not upset but very dribberly and constantly chewing on his fists

Yes, Penelope is exactly the same. She's gone off her milk too so at every bottle I've rubbed bonjela on her gums & that's seems to have improved it. I've just ordered the gummee glove too because she won't hold teething toys & she already chews on her fist.

Ohhh I've seen that glove was looking at it  Kane won't hold a tether yet either
