@Stokiejodie and @BexF90 you both will do great! No one has a baby manual, but we all figure it out ❤️ Your baby will tell you a lot, just watch them 😊 I remember when I had my first baby, my husband would ask me EVERYTHING, as if I knew something he didn’t 🤣 although I had more experience with children than him, I still was no expert! I feel like I’m starting over now that my youngest is 4 😄

@MrsH02 I hasn’t even thought about clothes at all! I usually just wing it. Baby’s skin will tell you if they are too hot or too cold. I don’t remember ever even thinking about that much with my previous kids 🤷‍♀️🤪

So my husband is freaking out about having a girl, it's hilarious! He keeps saying he doesn't know how to clean then, wipe them etc!
Little girl kicks the heck out of me.. alot of the time it hurts heaps... She's a strong one! I've decided to start pushing beginning of August! I can't handle being pregnant anymore!! Something is bound to come out, right????

@EmPa yes! These movements seriously hurt sometimes! This is my third kid and never felt this before, it’s like she stretches out completely and feels like her butt will come straight out of my stomach! Just happened and I’m trying to sleep 😲 hoping this girl comes by 40w also. My first came came one day early and my boy was 9 days late. Oh yes the boys are scared of girl parts 😂 poor things. Just remind him to wipe front to back and be gentle. They will figure out the rest 😉

    Hi all,
I went to Morrison’s yesterday and they look like they have had delivery of some aptimil starter packs as there were about 8 on the shelf, so hopefully the issue with supply is now resolving!

Iv had my obstetrics appointment today and again they want my section at 38 weeks. They couldn’t give me an exact date at the moment but look like they are ring fencing the 10th for me, they just have to wait for the bookings people to book it in to confirm!

@EmPa oh gosh ! How did they find that out? Did you have symptoms? Luckily your 30 weeks so now its mainly baby putting fat on and maturing so if does decide to come early should be fine. Touch wood stays in though for a while longer.

I was meant to have my appointment todah with the local urologist the hospital chose to supervise my section  to see if he feels he will be able to supervise and know what he's doing or not, however an hour before the secretary called to cancel as he was apparently pulled in to help with a surgery. I asked when would be rearranged for and they said depends on next available slots in his clinics so sometime in next few weeks. So now I'm 5 weeks and 3 days before my section and not met the urologist so dont know if he can do it and be cutting it fine to actually get a specialist booked in by 29th !!!

@Stokiejodie i had my 30 week check last tuesday and everything was fine... That evening i have 3 really painful contractions and i messaged my gynae about it... She visited me on sat and thats how she found out! This means that my 'we still have 10 weeks to finish everything' has turned into 'errr, maybe we should finish everything sooner rather than later'!!!

Also, how's everyone going with bames??

@EmPa its all happening far to quickly as in the weeks passing by. Im only being delivered 3 weeks early and I'm like panicking thinking what the hell am I doing ?! I'm so unprepared haha I spend longer than 6 weeks getting ready and prepped for trip to London never mind to go have a baby 😬😬😓

Name wise ..... this baby isn't going to have a name at this rate as ive realised I either don't like any, the names I think of have been ruined by children work with or names I like are alresdy been used or are too similar to ones been used by other halfs family or friends xx

Stay in babies! @EmPa I’m Sure the bed rest will help ❤️It does seem like things are coming very soon all of the sudden! I’m about to be 33w and haven’t done much of any preparation for baby since I’ve been so sick almost this whole time 😑 not that there is much that “needs” to be done, but I’d like to get a bit more organized and get rid of some more junk around the house @Sj83 I’m glad baby is getting bigger! @Stokiejodie I’m sure you will find a urologist who can cover during your surgery. And I hope he can see you soon! I just started my baby blanket, so I’d like to make some good progress on it this week 😊 my midwife is coming every two weeks and that makes the time fly by! I feel like I just saw her and she will be here again in two days! Still need to get my newborn cloth diapers back from my friend who borrowed them. Oh and I have a big pile of gifts from my baby shower that I need to sort through and put away. And about a million thank you notes to write 😅 I think I’m going to take a day off of work here and there to get some of this stuff done

    Hey all,
Time certainly is flying by now, I get the feeling some of us will end up with July babies rather than August 😬.
I hope everyone’s feeling ok, not sure what’s going on with me but my nausea seems to of returned. The last 2 days Iv managed 1 meal per day and that is it as I just feel so sick. Tiredness is really kicking in too. I’m so
glad I finish work next week, I’m on the final countdown and then can just relax. Im starting to feel more organised now too which has made me feel better. I even bought some maternity pads at the weekend when I went to the supermarket. I just figured that each time I go if I pick up a little something whether it be wipes, pads or baby wash etc it makes me feel
organised! Stupid I know but I’m sure il be relieved when the time comes and I need it all.
Has anyone thought about packing there hospital bag yet? I realised the other day I actually need a bag 😂 Iv got cases but wanted a bag this time round, one for me and one for baby. I’m hoping I won’t need too much stuff as I only intend on staying in 1 night. The hospital im under do enhanced recovery so will have me out of bed a few hours after my section and plan for home the day after which sounds great to me!!
@EmPa stay in bed and keep that baby cooking a few weeks longer.
@Stokiejodie I’m sure u will get to speak to someone before the section from urology even if it’s a telephone consult. Hopefully they will see the urgency and get this sorted for you beforehand. As for baby’s name I’m sure s/he won’t be nameless for long! U  do have 6 weeks though to decide once babies here to register.
@Sj83 I’m glad to hear baby is getting bigger! Oliver is a lovely name too. @KristinO1987 I wish I had the time and skill to make a baby blanket. My mum bless her has been on a knitting and crochet marathon and done me some basic newborn cardigans and blankets. I love all the homemade bits for babies ☺️

@Sj83 we've chosen Oliver too, absolutely love the name 😍

So I've been feeling extremely tired & looking pale since Thursday, then started with crampy pains this morning. Nearly fainted just walking up the stairs. Turns out (at my 32 week appointment) I've maybe got a UTI 🙄 My fundal height is measuring a bit bigger than they'd like, so I'm having to monitor my blood sugars for 3 days & being referred for growth scans 😱 It doesn't rain, it pours 😑

Little man is totally fine though, he's quite happy in there 👶💙 2 more weeks left in work yey!! Can't wait to finish, it's getting so uncomfy 🥵

@MrsH02 I'm nearly sorted with getting all the bits for hospital bags, I just need to buy a case for baby's stuff 😂

@MrsH02 I have thought about anything for the hospital yet except them ready made formula bottles.

Is there a difference between sanitary towels and maternity pads ? Could I just take normal sanitary towels ? I've no idea what to expect. Stupidly I was thinking if im having a section I won't have any bleeding 🙈🤣

I've been looking for some nighties to take with me and for when I'm home but they all so expensive ! I also really need some new knickers. I've been saying this for months as they don't fit anymore but never actually gone to get any xx

@Sj83 and @BexF90 wow what are the chances of that haha. Anymore Olivier's ? Haha xx

@Stokiejodie I know, right, great minds think alike 😉

As for sanitary or maternity pads, I'd definitely get maternity as they're a lot thicker & longer, specially designed for postpartum bleeding 😊 Haha I thought the same with a section too, then I asked my Mum 😂 A lot of people have said to get the disposable maternity briefs too 👍

I love the name Oliver! I liked my boys names better this time but we are having a girl this time of course lol. FYI you can still bleed even after a c section. Sometimes it’s less, but I’d still be prepared with some pads. My friend said that sometimes the doctor will try to clean out as much blood as they can during the surgery, which is nice! @MrsH02 id love it if my mom could crochet or knit! I actually learned from her mother (my grandmother), but my mom never wanted to learn 🤷‍♀️ My nausea has returned the last couple weeks too. I think it’s because my food needs have increased. Since I started eating more, my nausea has been better thankfully. I hope you are feeling better soon. Take it easy ❤️ @BexF90 i have been having tons of Braxton Hicks also. Definitely will be asking my midwife on Wednesday. I was planning on working until baby came, but I think I need to start taking some days off before that. @Stokiejodie definitely get the new underwear! It’s so worth it 😍🤣 I like the kind with lace around the top so that it’s looser and more comfortable. Do they don’t provide formula in the hospital? Our hospitals will give formula if the parents want it
