so sorry ladies, I have been away for so long. I was finishing my dissertation in July, moving through half Europe in August, just finished my degree last week and now obviously I have to be sick with tonsillitis. Currently 31w1d, had my appointment today and all is fine with our little lady, she has long legs, smaller head, but that was always the case soo nothing to worry about, my placenta is still quite low so we will see if I get normal or c-section birth

Sky123 - I am sorry to hear that you had a bit of rough time in August with regards to measurements, I hope it will only be better from now on. Are they keeping an eye on you?

Kaya1312 - I understand your excitement with scary moments 😃 I have them too, but I am sure we will do just fine when things come, with regards to the practical side, I still don’t have anything apart from pram (ehm) so starting to stress, but I hope to get most of the things ready in the next 2 weeks.

How is everyone doing? I am so tired all the time, but now when I am sick it is even more prominent, and this week I wanted to deep clean our new flat and start organising things for our little girl, but that is on hold until I can feel a bit better.. Sometimes she kicks so hard to ribs, but now she again switched position so is head up, so now I have menstruation like cramps :D lovely pregnancy.. still 2 months to go, but I cannot wait to meet her

Hey everyone! So I was measuring big on fundal height but had a growth scan on Friday and now they say baby is small. 5th centile. So got to go in for twice weekly CTGs, weekly dopplers and 2 weeklily growth scans. If baby follows 5th centile it would be roughly 6lbs 7 ish at full term which I don’t really think is that bad. I was only 6 ish pounds and I’m a small build. Having extra checks to determine if it’s just a small baby or whether it’s small because of placenta not working efficiently.

Catj21 - good luck with your scans, hopefully it is just that you are small build and that is why baby is following this pattern :) they will know more with check-ups :) what is your due date btw?

    Due October 30th. So 35+1 today x

My little girl is measurinf 97th centile for her belly and 40th for head and legs.

Placenta is low lying still so I’m seeing a consultant next week, I’d assume to discuss the planned c section I’m going to need. Mixed feelings about it to be honest, but if it’s safest then it’s what i have to do.

These babies know how to keep us on our toes before they even make an appearance!

LoveElmo I’m in the same boat! Big baby, lots of fluid, and placenta praevia. I’ve been classed as high risk. Got the fetal medicine specialists on Friday so hoping we get our c section date! Xx

  • Options

oh yes, I remember you had quite early due date Catj21, that time is nearing so fast!

LoveElmo and Charlieg13 good luck with both of your appointments, I still don’t know if it will be c-section or natural as I have low lying but officially it is now marginal not praevia but I still have to see later on.

Are use all still getting scans done?

I haven’t had a scan since my 20 weeks just get the heart beat checked and bump measured I’m 33 weeks now and still don’t know anything about my placenta and weight of baby :/

havent really told me much just that she has a good heart beat xx

They only scan you after 20 weeks in our area If you are measurinf particularly big or small bump wise or if you had a low lying placenta at 20 weeks. Ive had scans for both reasons!

Everness my placenta is 0.8cm away from my cervix and here they like it to be at least 2cm otherwise they recommend c section. Mine didn’t move from 20 weeks to 33 weeks so I have it in my head Im having a cs.

Im guessing I won’t get a date yet. How many weeks are they planning to do yours at Charlieg13?
