How are you feeling Lou? I keep hoping to feel baby fluttering but I haven’t yet. I’m 11 weeks tomorrow. Hopefully will start to feel baby very soon.

Ordered a rental Doppler to try- I know the pros and cons but my anxiety is bad. I got in bed at 8 last night because I was having a big wobble. I’m just scared of it going wrong again.xxx

Emj give it some time you’ll start to feel the flutters mine started around week 13 and it was real noticeable and obvious. As far as the Doppler I think it’s a good idea I wanted one early on but didnt purchase one I would always call my nurse and just go in for a listen that always reassured me. My first listen was around week 12 best sound I ever heard. Hope your able to get it striaghten out and hear it as much as you need to.

emj I totally get where your coming from wanting the reassurance but just keep in mind that the midwifes that use dopplers have specialised training and know the difference between the different sounds and because we don’t have that training we may get confused or get things wrong so please don’t rely on it especially as the pregnancy progresses or let it freak you out too much if your having trouble finding heartbeat you don’t need that extra stress

i hope everything is going well for everyone

I’m in the 2ww I’m expecting af in 6 days we’ve been at it like rabbits this month so I’m sure we covered the dates and I actually had ewcm so I’m pretty sure I’m ovulating as always if af doesn’t arrive on day I’m expecting I shall wait a few days incase  late ovulation which I’m expecting it was as i have a 27 day cycle and ovulated around day 15/16 ish af  could be later than expected

Scan went well baby is fine!

    im 9 weeks tomorrow.

Theyre guessing that the blood I keep getting every few days is from my cervix being fragile.. ectropion on the cervix I think which is what I had when I miscarried so she said it’s probably something that is bad during pregnancy for me as I’ve never had issues before.

Next scan is at 13 weeks on 28th Feb!

That's brilliant news Cluadsanch I am so pleased that everything is good and you have your next scan booked in as well x

Emj3 I agree with MrsRees I would not rely on the dopler either if you are at all worried either go to midwife or gp or have a scan which your gp can sort out for you .

MrsRees good luck for 2 week wait  hopefully you will get your bfp big fat positive this cycle fingers crossed 🤞.

    Thanks ladies. Great news Claudsanch.

i won’t be relying on Doppler, I just want to give it a try. If it’s not easing anxiety, I’ll send it back.

hopefully the screen will help- the baby’s heart beat should be much higher than mine. I could wear my Fitbit at the same time for some guidance On my own heartbeat. I might not even be able to hear it.

God I don’t know, I’m just a bag of nerves. Just desperately want it to go right this time.

Hey everyone, how are you all? I'm in my 5th week of pregnancy and I'm super excited but absolutely terrified because I had a miscarriage when I was 18 I'm now 30 and terrified every time I go to the toilet incase I'm bleeding. I talk to my husband about my worries but I don't want to worry him too much. I'm due 1st October and I can't wait :)

Dee2dee she is absolutely beautiful 😍😍 massive congrats again!

emj please please please don’t get a Doppler your Midwife would much prefer you call her everyday over getting a Doppler, Once you start to feel baby move you‘ll Be so reassured then, I had my midwife come to my house a few times to check harrys heartbeat before I’d felt movements they will completely understand my midwife had a sign up that completely made sense it said ‘if you saw someone collapsed in the street would you check for a pulse and walk away or would you call an ambulance‘ and It’s exactly the same thing just because baby has a heartbeat doesn’t mean the babies not in distress, I’m sorry for going on I too debated getting one but once I read up on them I feel so strongly against them xxx

doppler‘s been delivered today but I won’t use it as I’ve got an appointment with my midwife next week so I’ll have a chat to her about it.

i didn’t realise they’d do extra checks- I’m just panicking that’s all. xx.

    Hey ladies

Oscar was born on Wednesday 30th at 20:31 weighing 6lb10oz. We came home that evening. I was induced at 1pm and was already 1cm dilated. My waters broke at 17:30 and contractions started pretty much straight away. Went up to delivery around 19:45 & I only had g&a for pain relief. Struggling to bf atm :( but we're ok otherwise.

    Here's my beautiful boy xx

    Congratulations he's a beautiful baby x

I have tried breast feeding all 3 of mine unsuccessfully and ended up bottle feeding i know every midwife and other people say breast is best but listen don't stress over it as long as your baby is being fed milk it doesn't matter how it's done. So if it's to difficult painful, he's not latching properly then don't feel bad about giving up you what's best for baby and you xx

    He’s absolutely perfect steffy- congratulations!!!!

Congrats Steffy Oscar is beautiful 😍!

I really struggled to breastfeed too as Evelyn had breathing difficulties at first. Like Lou said don't let it stress you, we ended up bottle feeding after 2 weeks as she's a big girl and I couldn't get a decent supply for her even with pumping. I did love sitting doing skin to skin with her - and sometimes she did manage to latch so try to give it a few weeks - I'm sure you'll both get the hang of it! Don't let anyone tell you what to do!

How are you all adjusting to having your little one home at last?
