Can’t stop staring at her and wondering how we made something so perfect 🥰🥰 yes she was estimated last wed to be weighing 7.7lbs and the weight she is now they said she was two weeks ago We were out of the hospital 4hrs after her birth so chilling at home now I am seriously exhausted
@Wellcome1 it’s great to be home I’m so happy they let us go so fast and yes haha I forgot to say she is Lily Bee Lawler it’s so amazing to think less than 12 hours ago she was in my belly and now she’s here our bodies are so amazing
Hi everyone @metalchick how was the first night with baby at home??
When we saw our new midwife last week we told her that we haven't heard anything further about baby's heart issue and were getting a bit anxious. She said she would contact the hospital and I am so impressed as we got a call saying we can go for a scan next week and a chat with a consultant. We knew the consultant at our hospital had got the letter from the heart specialist but I am pleased that we can go and ask some questions x
Thank you everyone we’re so in love with her can’t believe she’s finally in my arms 🥰 @SmithL35 unfortunately she didn’t spend her first night at home we had to go back in because she was sleeping too much and not feeding but boy did she make up for it in the night literally spent between midnight and 5am on my boobs it was heartbreaking breaking being separated from dad though 😢 also that’s good news @SmithL35 hopefully they’ll be able to reassure you and give you all the info you need, is this your first @CharHughes ? I think I would feel that way definitely if she was my first but it is lovely to be at home working to your own routine also had to go out and buy smaller clothes I’d been told so much she would be big we didn’t buy much first size stuff and even some newborn is swamping her had to get some size 0 nappies they look like doll nappies lol

@SmithL35 really glad you are seeing the consultant and you get to see baby on the scan next week. That gives you some reassurance and something to look forward too; it’s hard enough at the end of pregnancy without all the extra worry that you’re experiencing.
@Metalchick glad all is okay and she’s back to feeding well. That sounds like you had a really long night lol. How nice is it having your own body back?? Can’t wait for this! Are the after pains okay? X
@XOXO1 body’s only a bit back lol got a big old jelly belly and still getting heartburn that has really pissed me off excuse the language the after pains aren’t as bad as they were on my second maybe the big age gap has lessened it but they really do smart when I’m feeding her just think a few weeks and every one in the group will have their babies 😊
So an awful thing happened yesterday as well we were leaving the maternity unit with lily in the car seat and bumped into a friend not close outside crying her eyes out, turned out she had just been told she had a mmc at 12wks we were all in the glow of lily just being born and she was trying to congratulate us while crying it was so heartbreaking
Just logged on for the first time in a few days - wowee congratulations @Metalchick, she is gorgeous. Not long now ladies! I’ve been booked in for a c section on 1st Sept... they wanted to book me in next week but all the theatre lists are fully booked! If baby turns to head down between now and then they will let me deliver naturally. It all feels very real for us all now! X
