Is it me or is anyone else having a little trouble doing up their trousers?! I noticed today that my work trousers that are normally a little too big are now leaving a nice line down my tummy from where it is pressing against the seam! This happened with my last pregnancy but not until about 10 weeks. I'm a small person so it might just be my shape but am not sure if i'm going ot make it to 12 wks without someone guessing!

I also nearly threw up on someone today when they put a large cup of coffee on my desk image

I'm the same. But this is my first pregnancy! I do have quite a small frame too, so I wonder if that is why. I just feel very bloated, which has left me with a tiny little bump already!!

Hello 3054 - ironically I was due to start seeing specialists on 21 March!! I am going to the midwife for advice today as I am not sure whether I should keep my appointments or not. I don't have any info to share yet but I'll keep you posted. I have been tested for hormone issues previously, and they have all been fine - not to say that they might have gone all screwy in that period, but several nurses and doctors had suggested it might be a allergy, rather than hormones. Anyway, we shall see.

Off to the midwives in the few hours. Have got horrible nausea and although I am STARVING I am finding it tough to eat. And I have developed a weird passion for babybels. I also had to wee three times last night, booooo.

Was it EggyEm who said you were having trouble doing up your trousers - me too - but I have lost weight on my legs so my jeans look bizarre on me.

    Love to all,

He he it was me, technically not EggyEm but I love that name, might refer to myself as that now! Hope your appt goes well, let us know how it goes. x

Pozzee_pod writer sounds fab, I'd love to do something creative! I work as an accountant but it's not a love (obviously!), it's just a job. Hope you do have a more productive day today with your writing! Aww hun, even if it's only babybels that you manage to eat at least that is something! Stock up on them! Good luck at midwives, let us know how you get on.

moJacobs you have lots of symptoms! My boobs have stopped hurting but they are getting huge, I think i need new bras already. I've been getting weird sensations in my lower back, like the back of my pelvis feels like it's loose or something.

3054 congratulations on your BFP I'm so sorry to hear of your recurrent miscarriages hun. I hope this is a very sticky bean for you. I will add your due date to the first post image

Bendy9432 I will add your due date too image

Emilyegg11 i agree with you actually, I was thinking I might have to start wearing dresses to work, I have a casual dress code so I could wear like floaty tea dresses or something like that. I am a small frame too like you and MoJacobs. I'm 5'2 and weigh about 8.5 stone.

I finished my knitted bootees last night, I'm so proud of myself I haven't knitted since I was a kid! They are cream with cream spotty ribbon and zebras on the toes - spots and stripes!

Hope everyone has a good day!

EmilyEgg - I am soooo embarrassed that I called you EggyEM. imageops: Please forgive my addled brain.

Sianuk - Just had three babybels to celebrate getting back from the midwives. Nom! Re: Boobs, I have started wearing my night bra, which I got last time. It's a soft, cotton, non-underwired one and is so comfy. I highly recommend.

Midwife was great - I had the same one as last time. Had the usual tests, all my info was still on the computer so it was pretty quick. Their October list was already full (and my EDD according to my m/c is 28 Oct), we both ummed and ahhed about it because I reckon it'll be November in the end. She has sent me to hospital on Friday for a dating scan. About five minutes after I left she called me to say they were going to make an exception for me, because I was a special case, whether the EDD is October or November I am in. I almost cried, I wouldn't want another midwife service as ours is so good.

Mr P is now trying to get Friday off - I don't want to go to the scan alone, just in case the news is bad. Also if the news is good I don't want him to miss it.

Wow ladies our numbers are fairly creeping up. Pozze_pod, all the very best for Friday, will be keeping everything crossed for you that your scan shows good news. When I was pregnant with my daughter I found leggings and tesco value sports bras (Cheap and cheerful but seem to give good support) were an absolute Godsend. A good tip for expanding your waitbands on trousers is to thread an elastic hairband thru the button hole and loop it round the stud - the relief is fab!! I can also reccommend bump bands, I got a pack of 2 from mothercare last time and they were great at covering an potential gaps - especially after lunchtimes in the office when I would sit at my desk with my top button undone lol!

Oh pozzee.... I really hope it's double good news for us both on Friday, I have my appointment at 10am on Friday and will potentially get a scan, I will be 6+1..... I'm dying to know all ok but am terrified about scan as all scans I've had have been bad news..... Really hope it's super lucky Friday!!!!!!

Got my fingers crossed for you 3054, I will carry you in my thoughts all day Friday! Let us know how it goes.

I just had a call from the midwife, they are fitting me in for a scan tomorrow instead. Eeeeek. Mr P was able to change his leave no problem. I am really pleased it has been brought forward then I have less time to worry. Since this whole thing has been such a surprise I keep imagining what other 'nice' surprises we could have at the scan - rather than what could go wrong. So far I have come up with:

    - it's twins

    - it's more than twins

    - I am further along than I thought (maybe I ov'd early)

    Am stuck now.

Pozzee_pod yay to the celebratory babybels haha! I might try a night bra, thank you for the tip. Fab news about your midwife service and FC for the scan tomorrow, I am sure all will be fine. Look forward to your update!

Autumn_79 that is a great tip about the hairbands! image

3054 FC your scan is fine too hun!

Sian - You could be my body double, although I'm actually 5ft 1 and a half but I like to round up hehe. We don't own a set of scales here so when the dr weighed me it was the first time since we left the UK in 2010, and I was pleasantly surprised (Aussie wine is a downfall for me, although obviously not at the moment!!)

3054 - Can't wait to hear how your appointment and possible scan goes on Friday, so excited for you! And Pozzee, eeeek!! Scan tomorrow!?? Wow!

Six weeks for me today and woke up feeling like crap. I just can't get rid of the thirsty feeling either and OH is getting pretty annoyed with my bladder disrupting his sleep! I'm due to fly to Canada on Saturday for work (our head office is over there) before flying back to the UK for a holiday. I'm so petrified about the flight it's unbelievable... not really anything I can do about it though but 14hr is a loooong time to be in the air.

    Hope everyone else is well!

Hey Pozzee Pod - That's so exciting about tomorrow, got my fingers crossed for you but am sure it wil be amazing news and imagine if it was twins or more image

3054 - really hope the scan goes well for you

I've got to phone up midwife to book appt tomorrow and there's a good chance I might be able to have the midwives i had last time. I've also already put my name down on the prenatal yoga list as the waiting time is huge and it was brilliant last time, got me through my first labour which was a bit fast so I am glad I went! I can definately recommend to everyone once you get past the 12 week scan x

Hi ladies, please can I join?

My name is Erin, and we just found out yesterday that I'm pg image

Was quite a surprise to say the least, we already have a little girl who will be one on the 23rd.

We are absolutely delighted but still in shock I think!

I had quite a tough time during my last pregnancy so I think my partner is panicking that I'll be the same this time...

Anyway, I'm rambling now just wanted to say hi and I'll catch up with all the other posts now.

Love to all mummas and bumps,

    Erin x

    Hi everyone!

    Can I join please?

I'm Nikki and found out on Sunday that we are expecting our first baby image Due on the 14th November.

I haven't had too many symptoms other than being tired. I'm going to book a doctors appointment for next week to get the ball rolling on midwife appointments etc.

Hope everyone is feeling well! x

vw_family hope you feel a bit better today! I am just super tired at the moment, really struggled to get up today and only just made it to work on time. I'm really thirsty too, I'm drinking so much water which is weird as before being pg I would drink like half a glass of water a day. I drank other stuff but not water! That's a lot of flying, I think you'll be fine don't worry, I've read that it's a good idea to get those funny socks as there is a higher risk of DVT though.

emilyegg11 I am going to google for prenatal yoga classes. I have been wondering about exercise. I am generally quite lazy but was about to start a fitness plan for my holiday in May, but now being pg I dont know what exercise I can do. I know that women who are used to exercise just need to take it a little easier but what about women that have done nothing!

Erin82uk congratulations on your surprise BFP! I hope you have an easier pregnancy this time image

NM2012 congratulations on your BFP too. This is also my first baby. Quite a few first timers on here!

    Congratulations all the new ladies!

Just back from the scan - there's a baby there!!! With a heart beat!!!! It all looks fine. The heart beat is a little slow but the doctor said that's normal for this stage of pregnancy. Still no firm EDD, I am around 5/6 weeks, got to go back in two weeks for a repeat scan. That's it. I am really pleased that it went so well, a little worried about the heart beat but then I reckon I would fixate on anything that wasn't completely 'perfect'. Will just try to put it out of my head.

    Have celebrated with three babybels.

Terrible night's sleep last night, up and down to loo, awake for two hours from 1 am feeling really ill. Thought I was going to throw up - so weird to wake up feeling like that in the middle of the night - especially as I hadn't been out on the lash!!! image

Hope everyone is well. Or as well as they can be. I am going for a nap now as I can hardly keep my eyes open.

pozzee_pod great news about the scan - don't worry about the heartbeat, you just need to remember this bit "the doctor said that's normal for this stage of pregnancy" image

    Have a good nap! xx
