Awww bless you @LaurenR15 hopefully they will settle down! I'm not as teary as I have been, my skin on my back is bad again though so that makes me want to cry 😭😂

Omg so exciting!! Will you find out the gender? I can't wait for all these scan pictures tostart popping up 😍

Aww it probably is!! I experienced round ligament pain for the first time the other day 😫 a sneeze crept up on me and oh my days it was sharp! Lol xx

Sorry I've been MIA, my nutrition certificate modules have been changed to online, so the last two days I've spent in online live lectures and it tired me out! 😴😴😴

    @Welshmami2018 I can't see much I don't think, but I guess girl!

@hannah9000 had your little girl is excited!!

@LaurenR15 yes thanks, we are doing just fine 😊

@SunshineB you're exactly right about your placenta, so I really don't think you need to worry. Movements are so sporadic at the moment so the fact you're feeling some in a first time pregnancy is +++++ ❤

I think I'm feeling about the same 🤷‍♀️ My placenta is posterior but also high up. And when the midwife listened in baby was up high and sounded very much like he was behind the placenta at that high up point because the placental hr was in the foreground, with baby's in the background. So it stands to reason, that even though my uterus is up to my belly button, I don't feel anything around the belly button yet really, it's all to the sides or underneath. Although I've started being able to see the odd kick as well like @hannah9000. Sometimes I can go a whole half a day without feeling anything though, especially if I'm busy!

my SIL has been doing online lectures for her nursing degree and she says they are really hard online @rainbows01 😫

Ahhh so even though yours is posterior, it may affect movement too?

I'm so thankful for this little group lol everyone is so lovely and reassuring 💗

@SunshineB I think it does at the very top because it's sort of there and then behind. So when the midwife found baby, she was listening through the top basically.

    Me too 😊

Can't wait for scan pics to start appearing! Is it @laurenr15 's or @teeteee 's private scans next?

Ahhh gosh!! I haven't had anything like that yet but I from conversations I've had with midwives over the phone, they don't use dopplers in my area 😔

@Laurenr15 said her private scan is Thursday! So hopefully @teeteee has hers so too, then we have 2 next week and then us 2 the following week 😁😁

@SunshineB can't wait for them all! Can't believe I'm 18weeks today, 2nd trimester is flying by! Post 20weeks, it can happily slow down! I want to savour my intended last pregnancy!

I know @rainbows01 I'm 18 week tomorrow and I can't believe how quick this has gone 😫 quite scary really

I think it’s going really fast too. This will also be my last baby, so I want to take it all in. But I’m also looking forward to meeting her and making sure she’s ok haha
had a little listen in on the Doppler and she’s all good from that. So fingers crossed she’s bobbing around but just behind the placenta haha

ooh nutrition exams online can’t be easy. Will you then specialise and run your own clinics for patients who need that advice etc?
I loved doing clinics when I was a VN.

Hey ladies!! Sorry I thought I replied this morning we took the kids to the beach had a long but lovely day I came back and fell asleep I’m now wide awake 😂🙊

@SunshineB I had an anterior placenta in my last pregnancy too I found out at my gender scan i hadn’t had one before. I still felt her wiggling around but like you it was more on the sides as she grew but once I was much further along those jabs were painful some days never had a problem with learning her pattern not sure where it is this time as I’ve not felt baby much the last few days as I had before but there’s a lot of activity on the Doppler sounds wild all the movement 🤣🙊 I’ve been thinking it’s probably anterior again too xx

Glad to hear your well @Rainbows01 ☺️

Yes my gender scan is next Sunday 7th 🙊 started feeling nervous as ever but excited too just want to know now! Hope the week doesn’t drag 😫 xx

@pouup8 @Rainbows01 Thanks so much for your kind words. Sorry to not have replied sooner - but everything was FINE  I cried like a baby, especially as hubby wasn't there with me but all my check came our fine so was very much happy tears.

Now it's just another tough wait till the next scan in mid July. I'm already panicking myself about all the new symptoms (pains when I sneeze and an ache back) but I am trying to stay calm; I'm really seeing just how bad my anxiety is these days, especially having more time to do so with not working and being at home so much.
In particular, one day I felt a bit flustered and hot earlier in the week, and have worried myself that I was ill and didn't do anything. The day before I'd had an afternoon tea of scone and cakes with my mum and convinced myself I had too much sugar that day (no caffeine though as I don't drink hit drinks anyway) Then the following day my husband was painting the kitchen and the smell was quite strong, so I am terrified I shouldn't have lied down on the sofa all day and instead stayed upstairs, which is what I have now done whilst he continues to paint and decorate.

Any tips for dealing with anxiety?

So we have one on Thursday, Sunday and then two the following tuesday so far 😁😁 exciting ladies!

Glad you heard something on the doppler @wlj hope it has reassured you

@teeteee hope you had a lovely day! That's good then! So when the baby gets you bigger you can't really mistake the movements lol I'm just anxious about it that's all.
Your instincts are probably right lol also, I read an interesting fact about anterior placentas! In 2014 they did a study and out of 103 anterior placentas, 72% were girls and 28% were boys! An old wife's tale that anterior is a girl and posterior is a boy!

@dimples87 I'm so sorry you are having such bad anxiety. I had an awfully painful sneeze the other day and experienced round ligament pain for the first time lol so now I try hold my tummy when I want to cough or sneeze 😂
I'm not sure what I can say to help anxiety wise as I've had my bad days too. The current situation we are in really doesn't help. I find I'm better when my mind is distracted but that is hard atm when I'm furloughed 😫

@SunshineB that’s an interesting one I haven’t heard that before 🙊 if it was right then I’d be a mum now of 3 boys & 1 girl only had one anterior & 4 girls 😂 I don’t think one old wives tale has worked for me so far 🙊🙊 have they been right for any of you ladies? Xx
  • Options
I don't think any of them work @teeteee lol just a bit of fun I guess 😂 xx
  • Options
🤣 @SunshineB you're probably right but I always come across mums that have said the Chinese gender chart has been right for them everytime honestly 🥴🥴 they’ve been right for me twice 🙃🤣
  • Options
@teeteee I looked at that lol one chart said boy and then when I googled it again to show someone I got a different chart and that was girl 😂 none the wiser.
I feel we will have a boy. Not because I think it is but because OH has 3 brothers and between them they have 6 sons and 1 daughter lol

    Happy Monday guys 😁👋

Had my 16 week check today, totally pointless could of been over the phone. They don't even check baby's heart beat at 16 weeks anymore so I am in a right mood today ☹️ was all excited.

Roll on Thursday for scan and loads of pictures of other ladies babies 💙❤️

Hope everyone is keeping strong and enjoying the sun xxx

They are the same in my area too @LaurenR15 😫 so we'll never get to hear it which is a shame. They said to me they don't reccomend to use them anymore. Different in different areas. Anyway...

3 more days!!! Are you excited?! Xx
  • Options
@SunshineB she said they will listen in at 24 weeks but not sure 🤷 so annoyed when you plan for something and it doesn't happen 🙈 I didn't cry so every cloud 🤣

So excited to know what baby is but wish it was now 😭😭 cannot wait.

When is your 20 week? Are you feeling okay xxx
  • Options
@LaurenR15 oohh I hope we get to hear it at 24 weeks then 🤞🤞

Awww bless you lol not long left!! Hopefully the week goes for you! Bet your other half is exited too?! Is it Ben?

My scan is Tuesday next week and I'll be 19 2 then! I'm nervous but excited.
I had been a bit upset back end of last week, with the anterior placenta thing on my notes but omg we actually saw my belly move today like in the video @hannah9000 posted!
My belly felt funny like pressure, then I felt a tap saw it move under my shirt so I lifted my shirt and told Adam so he started talking to it bless him 😂 and then the dog started barking! Then it tapped again and we actually  saw it. So I started crying then 😂😭  it was very low down and to the left. That's where I tend to feel most things too xx
